Denim On Denim Hot Again! Bride-To-Be Kim Kardashian Wearing Look To Balmain Showroom

Denim on denim....

Okay, maybe NOT a great look for every person.

It CAN resemble kind of er...hillbilly country. But when done right, denim on denim can look casually chic.

New bride-to-be (again) Kim Kardashian pulls off the denim on denim hot trend in sophisticated Paris. There she is leaving the Balmain showroom. The rumours suggest she will be wearing the elegant Balmain brand for her wedding dress.

We think Kim K looks glam in her jeans, denim shirt and pinky-beige pumps. It's a slimming effect from head-to-toe for the petite, curvy reality TV star.

Kim K is aware of the denim on denim trend, as it was featured all over the runways from NYC to Milan.

And VS model Alessandra Ambrosio would agree, because she's been out copying the hot look, too.

It's easy to imitate. Most everyone on the planet owns a pair of jeans And a high percentage also have a denim shirt hanging in their closet. If not....here are a few denim shirts to consider:
Banana Republic ($79.50)

Mossimo for Target ($22.99)

Cindy Crawford's Derm Designs New Botox: But Think Before Getting This One!

We LOVE it when brand new beauty + skin care products are launched that use the latest scientific research. We are all for it. But do your homework. It's smart to get 2nd opinions to see if the product or treatment is for you and safe.

This brings us to a brand new Botox called Silhouette Soft. We like the name of this new injectable being introduced by the well-respected dermatologist of Cindy Crawford.

His name is Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh. He runs famous skin care clinics in both Paris + London. Plus, he created Cindy's skin care line "Meaningful Beauty."

What's so BAD about Silhouette Soft?

Hopefully NOT a thing. But when we learned what the injectable was made from, a beauty red flag went up. In a moment, we will explain our humble opinion.

First---the new Botox is "as big and important as Botox was 7 years ago," claims Mr. Sebagh. It's given to the patient with a needle to temporarily restore lovely volume to the face and to arrest wrinkles.

Sounds great, so far. And it only takes about 30 mins. for a session. NO downtime, and according to Dr. Sebagh, the New Botox continues to 'grow' inside the patient by encouraging the body to produce its OWN collagen over time, so that the face remains buoyant + youthful.

Touch-ups are advised after a year or year and a half.

The cost is about $2,000.

Here's where we start squirming......The  Soft Silhouette uses thread made of  poly-l-lactic acid, which acts on the deep skin layers.
.
Poly-l-lactic acid is otherwise known as Sculptra. Most of you have heard about this popular injection that was initially used for HIV patients to successfully fill and restore volume to  gaunt or depressed facial features.

One Boston plastic surgeon we have interviewed quietly told us to NEVER receive an injectable made of poly-l-lactic acid or even the popular Radiesse filler. He advised us that these 2 facial fillers in general can cause problems beneath the DEEP skin layers. So, if the skin suddenly develops an allergic reaction or infection, it is DIFFICULT to remove poly-l-lactic acid or Radiesse from the face, because these formulas can harden like cement.

Fillers like Juvederm, Restylane + Perlane are all safe, this doctor has told us...as is Botox.

So, just our humble opinion, but coming from the advice of a longtime, brilliant plastic surgeon. We are not naming him today, because we do not want to throw shade at Dr. Sebagh's new product launch.

And we did not interview this plastic surgeon about Dr. Sebagh's new threading proceure.

The beauty lesson here:
...Do your homework. Find the BEST products for you.

Maybe you have had Sculptra or Radiesse and LOVE it. That's fine. Just trying to give another opinion.

By the way.....Silhouette Soft is FDA-cleared for the US market and CE marked for the European market.

Amal Alamuddin Capture's George Clooney's Heart With Exotic Beauty And Style

Amal + George. Sounds nice.
If we are to believe all the headlines and the huge bling she is now wearing on her left ring finger, then it appears that long-time bachelor George Clooney has fallen hard for a brilliant + very attractive humantarian attorney, Amal Alamuddin! And a source has confirmed the rumor.

Are Amal + George really engaged?!

We believe so. And we are here to celebrate her exotic looks + style.

It won't be easy being the ONE that finally changed George Clooney's heart. Already the haters are hating online, where they hide behind their computers:

"She's not pretty enough."

"Stacy had better legs."

"She looks too much like George."

"This is all a ruse to advance Clooney's political career."

"George chose her after all those beauties?"

It's pretty sad that a lot of people base their ideas of attraction only on what Hollywood is selling. And that the all-American look is the ONLY one that matters.

First of all---Amal Alamuddin is NOT an actress or model. That is NOT how she earns her living. Amal was born in Beirut, Lebanon of Druze parents. She is a very intelligent gal, having graduated from New York University of Law in 2011. She specializes in International Law. Alma works with the internationally recognized Civil Rights law firm of Doughty Street Chambers in London.

Plus...we think Amal Alamuddin has exotic beauty + style.

And talk about gorgeous hair!

Amal Alamuddin is certainly one woman we will all be watching in 2014!

Kate And Wills Munching On Nature Valley Granola Bars During Marathon Australia And New Zealand Tour

Kate + Wills and of course, adorable baby George are now relaxing after that 51-engagement marathon tour.

We thought the royal couple conducted themselves beautifully with a restless, raring to walk, little George by their side.

Duchess Kate wore some gorgeous, bright ensembles including yellow and green.

Her pretty, long wavy hair + makeup looked amazing during the entire Australia + New Zealand tour.

We were interested to just learn that the body-conscious Duke and Duchess kept these on stash in the royal car to munch on during the long visits in between:

Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars, Oats 'n Honey

Yummy!

Down under, the Aussies call these muesli bars, but you get the nutritional point here.

Except for the sugar in these nicely textured granola bars, you are getting good fiber, excellent grains, low fat, low sodium and of course, great flavor + satisfying snack.

And LESS than 100 calories in one bar---90 to be exact!

Do you snack like the Duke + Duchess?

Khloe Kardashian's Ombre Hair Instantly Doubles In Length: Super Long!

We love the ombre hair color on Khloe Kardashian.

In fact....We think this reality star can pull off the darker-to-lighter hair highlights BETTER than every celebrity we've seen sporting the popular, hair color trend.

And now the youngest K-sister has take her lovely locks to a whole new level--- Khloe K's ombre hair has recently DOUBLED in length...And we LOVE it, because it looks healthy, sexy, and this lady is tall, so the proportions fit her perfectly.

Hair extensions?

Who are we to judge. We are assuming the hair is faux, but then again we are starting to believe that MOST celebs enjoy wearing hair extensions to give their locks MORE instant volume, glam + sexiness!

Let's look at the photos: Here is Khloe K yesterday, walking with Kim around sunny L.A. in her signature, tight denim shorts. Check out her super long hair!
Here is another recent pic of her :

And here is Khloe last March at the Oscar's after parties with shorter hair

Either way.....long to super long hair, Khloe K wears it well.

Last June, the TV cameras followed Khloe + brother Rob into a His & Her Beverly Hills store to stock up on what appeared to be hair extensions.

We like her instant super long locks. Do you?

Courteney Cox Shows Off Beautiful Smoky, Cat Eyes! Meow! Meow!

Girlfriend must be doing something right, because at age 49, we think actress Courteney Cox looks better than ever!

What we're really admiring are her sexy, smoky cat eyes. Meow!

There's the dark-haired beauty at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City last evening, marking her debut as a director for the movie, "Just Before I Go.".

Accompanying Courteney to the red carpet event was musician Johnny McDaid, whom she has been seeing for about 6 months. There have been rumors of an engagement, but this couple isn't talking---actually, the smart thing to do.
Courteney keeps it beauty simple, except for those mysterious cat eyes. She has a luminous complexion showing just a hint of blush, a soft, nude-pink-y lipstick and hair casually pulled back in a loose bun.

All eyes are on Courteney's baby blues. We don't believe she has faux lashes on in this photo, but we could be wrong.

To get these beautiful, smoky cat eyes, we would suggest the blackest mascara you can find, a deep smoky shadow in a dark gray shade and of course, a steady, skilled hand.

We like Thunderball mattte eye shadow by NARS, $25.

It is so-oooo NOT easy creating the perfect pair of symmetrical-looking cat eyes. But practice makes perfect, as the old saying goes.

Do you adore the sexy, smoky cat eyes?

Or is this too hard a look to pull off?

Would You Put On Spanx Booty Bra For A Shapelier, Kardashian Behind? Or Let It Be?

We are all for the padded bra.....But for some strange reason, we would NOT put on a padded panty for our behind.

Sure, who doesn't want a perky, rounded butt like the beauty trend continues to inspire?

In fact, even Spanx the fashion leader in women's under clothing body shapers has come out with their own booty-licious push-up bra for your behind. We've been waiting for a few months before commenting on this one. But we can wait all day, because BIG butts aren't fading away.

The world seems to have an increasing butt obsession, so we are assuming these padded panties will be popular sellers.

Think Kim Kardashian but at a considerably smaller size with a curvy, lifted butt.

Now, imagine slipping into a pair of body hugging briefs with some strategic padding---a booty bra, as the nickname applies. And va-va-va-voom! Instant, sexier behind! NO surgery. NO fat or filler injections. Just a pretty, big, ole behind.

Would you put them on--now that Spanx has designed their own Booty Bra?

It's actually called the Spanx Trust Your Thinstincts Booty Bra. ($58, at Dillards).

We prefer what Victoria's Secret sells---the Oh So Cheeky Slimming Boyshort Panty. ($42, at Victoria's Secret).

This one has NO padding but a seamless, control-shaping nylon/spandex memory that smooths out your behind, slimming your hips and shaping your butt in a natural way.

What do you think ladies?

Is padding in the behind the right way to go in 2014?

Or just "let it be."

How To Use Clarifying Shampoo With Color-Treated Hair

We think everyone should have a bottle of clarifying shampoo on hand, even if you don't have color-treated hair.

Clarifying shampoo has excellent de-greasing action or strong gunk removal.

In other words, if you have a lot of styling product in your hair, this type of shampoo will get rid of it FAST!

Most clarifying shampoos contain acetic acid. It's a chemical compound  found in vinegar. And what it does is remove build-up layer by layer.

But there is a trick to using clarifying shampoo if you have dyed hair.

1. Use clarifying shampoo BEFORE you color your hair. It will remove all that styling build-up that often coats the hair shaft. If you don't use this type of super cleansing shampoo, then the dye will soak in here and there, giving off inconsistent, patchy results.

2. Newly color-treated locks should stay away from constant clarifying shampoo. Too much can fade your great dye job fast. So, only use it once a month.

3. Also remember--that although clarifying shampoo is a demon at attacking grimy, dirty, heavy deposits, it can also make hair feel brittle. These shampoos are not conditioning formulas. So a little goes a long way.

Here is a very good clarifying shampoo:

Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo, Normal to Oily Hair (.99, at Walgreens).

We have used it for several years now....BUT not every day. Hey...less than a buck?! Can't beat it...and it DOES remove build-up of all kinds.

Duchess Kate Gets Perfect Brows With Bobbi Brown's Saddle Shadow

Yep.....Even divine duchesses need a little help in the brows department.

We're talking about the elegant Duchess Kate who's been wowing huge crowds with her wonderful fashion + classic, beauty styles.

If Kate has had a misstep, we certainly haven't seen it.

Today, we're looking at Kate's great brows! They appear so natural + full, BUT---she has a beauty tip that her makeup artists use on her to create the perfect brows:

Bobbi Brown Dark Brow Kit in Saddle/Mahogany, ($47, at BobbiBrownCosmetics). According to all the royal gossip, the pros at the Bobbi Brown makeup counters have taught the lovely duchess to even up + balance her brows with BB's Saddle eye shadow and a slanted brow brush.
Not every gal has been blessed with perfect, full, nicely groomed brows, but many of us cheat, and fill in the empty patches or thinning hairs here and there.
And that's alright to do...really.

Even royalty understands the power of great makeup. And Duchess Kate has been hitting all the right notes.

Simple Beauty Rules 101: Bobbi Brown Says Lining Eyes All Around Makes Them Look Bigger!

There's been a popular beauty myth going around for years now. And we knew it was NOT true, because Bobbi Brown says so.....And this iconic makeup artist knows what she is talking about!

Here's the beauty myth:

Lining your eyes all the way around makes them appear smaller.

FALSE.

Bobbi Brown says it's the other way around. The celebrity pro makeup artist recently spoke to People magazine's Stylewatch In the May 2014 issue out now, Bobbi explains it all:

"Contrary to what you may think, lining eyes all the way around makes them appear larger, not smaller. Keep liner on the bottom softer than on top and connect at eye's outer corners," Bobbi says.

One way to do that, is with Bobbi's own makeup line:

Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliners

On SALE now at Nordstrom's ($21.60- Free shipping). Comes in these shades: Pitch Black. Chocolate Truffle. Sapphire. Scotch. Steel Grey. Violet Night.

We like the lined eye look of both black and brown liners.

We do this daily, and believe it allows the eye to open up + appear bigger.

We got the beauty idea 5 years ago, when actress Penelope Cruz was on the cover of W magazine.

Take a peek:

We LOVE that stronger liner on top lid.....+ softer liner on bottom.

And talented, celeb makeup artist Kela Wong would agree with Bobbi Brown. Here's what Kela advises:

1. Wear black eyeliner pencil along the top lash line only.
2. Then apply a dark brown liner on the bottom.
3. "It keeps the eye open," Kela explains.

Simple beauty rules 101. And these tips REALLY work.

William Dislikes Banana Shade But Duchess Kate Right On Trend In Buttercup

Buttercup yellow.

It's NOT a shy shade, for sure. But it is a happy color, even though Duke William told Duchess Kate she looked like a banana in yellow yesterday afternoon.

The royal fashion-setter wowed crowds at the Sydney, Australia Opera House in a buttercup yellow + white color-blocked dress by London-based Serbian designer Roksanda Ilincic. Kate added her fave shoes--nude L.K. Bennett pumps.

Shades of yellow are right on trend for Spring 2014! Sorry, William. Yes--yellow can be quite vivid, but its sunshine-y beauty appeals to most people.

If you're too scared to wear buttercup yellow from head-to-toe, try little splashes of the bright color in an accessory like these so pretty sandals by
Madison, the Loretta, at ShoeDazzle.

On SALE, (VIP status) for just $19.98!

Buttercup baby, here we come!

Don't Worry, Ladies: You Can Make VS Model Cleavage: See Lily Aldriche's Before + After

We think a good, push-up bra is a worthy investment for most of us. The right bra offers support, shape, lift and this little perk:

Cleavage.

Yes. You CAN create cleavage, even when you have small breasts to begin with.

Most people, especially men, believe that ALL the Victoria's Secret + Sports Illustrated models are big-busted. Maybe there are a handful.

But most of these stunning models are the proud owners of a small bustline. And we mean SMALL.

And to prove our point.....Here is gorgeous VS + Sports Illustrated beauty Lily Aldriche in a bikini top + shorts in Miami yesterday at a photo shoot.

Now---here is the lovely Lily in a recent VS runway show.

Wow! What an amazing bra!
To us, Lily Aldriche is pretty in the Before and as well as the After photos.

But we think the point has been proven:

Just like the hair extensions so many celebs walk around in, NOT everything is genuine in the worlds of fashion + beauty.

So---Is that a good thing or  a bad thing.

Do Most Stylish Celebrities Wear Hair Extensions? Kim Kardashian Took Hers Out, Again!

We're starting to believe that MOST female stars wear extensions. And that MOST female stars who do wear long, faux hair all really have shoulder length hair, at best.

Here's Kim Kardashian in Paris yesterday. This is her REAL hair length.

We were a bit shocked to see it so short and MINUS the perfect volume and hold. But there it was...a layered, shorter mane. And we're glad she showed it to the world.

Now here are 2 photos of the famous reality star arriving in Paris earlier , prior to removing her hair extensions.
This hairstyle featured locks that were INSTANTLY longer with at least twice the length.

Wow, what a major difference.

Even ageless Christie Brinkley at 60, admits that she, too, wears faux hair. In fact, she sells her own popular hair extensions line---Hair2Wear.

This is why the iconic model adores clip-in extensions:

"It used to take a stylist hours to give me extensions. Now it takes me two seconds! They're so light and natural...I clip them in and forget they’re there! After skiing or a yoga class, I pull this out of my bag and do a quick fix in the ladies room. Instant volume. Instant glamour!" – Christie

Sometimes, perfection can be bought, and put on that evening.
