Model Gisele Bundchen Gets Back Skinny Body By Working Out In Pool

Gisele Bundchen. Super long legs on a size 4 frame. Who wouldn't want her beautiful body?!
A baby boy named Benjamin arrives in December......and already, the model from Brazil is back in supermodel shape.

Her secret? Water resistance. Working out in a pool. It's called the Brazilian Body Surf program, and Gisele was reportedly doing the surf during her pregnancy. Smart girl! At least that is what the Boston Herald was reporting.

What exactly is the Brazilian Body Surf? According to the website Equinox, it's a combination of cardiovascular and muscle conditioning drills taught using water resistance.

Gisele's personal trainer is Leandro Carvalho. And he told the Herald, that Gisele was active to begin with, which can only help a woman's body bounce back from pregnancy. She was in "very, very" good shape throughout her pregnancy, in part due to the "very athletic" workouts, which he believes are super for muscle tone.

When we've seen photos of Gisele with her husband Tom Brady, quarterback for the New England Patriots, the couple always seem to be at the beach, in the water. Gisele isn't afraid to get her hair wet.

The supermodel also does yoga and meditation, which served her well during the labor and birthing process. And according to Quem, a Brazilian magazine, Gisele was back on her feet immediately. She was "washing the dishes and making pancakes" just two days after giving birth. Hmm. Sexy show-off.

Gisele didn't have much need for maternity fashions, either.
"I gained a little, but I kept using almost the same clothes, with minor adjustments to close in the belly," she told Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo Veja.

Yeah.....Don't hate her because she's beautiful....Gisele Bundchen was back at her old job just six weeks after giving birth, modeling for Brazilian fashion line Colcci (photo).

Now that's impressive.

Stylist Ted Gibson Shows You How To Make Messy Elegant Ponytail

Ladies....this ain't your childhood ponytail. And celebrity stylist Ted Gibson shows you how to make a messy, elegant ponytail for spring 2010. All you need to think is: texture. That is how you create the modern version.

Yes. Ponytails are hot!! And even trendier with a side-part. NYC's Ted Gibson of the Ted Gibson Salon made a bunch of ponytails at the recent NY Fashion Week Spring/Summer shows. We saw them at Lela Rose (photo), Jenni Kayne, and Vena Cava, to name a few.

The 'roughed up' ponytail as Ted Gibson also likes to call the new hair trend, is something unique that women can create at home. "You get a really interesting ponytail, rather than the same old version you always wear," Ted says.

You don't want to make your ponytail too high on the head. Location is key, according to Ted. "The ponytail is going to be in the middle of the head which is a little more playful," he explains.

To make the do, you should invest in a couple of products. And why not try Ted Gibson's hair line? To achieve the texture, he advises, applying Build It Blow Drying Agent ($20) on to dry hair and blow-drying, twisting the hair in small sections. After you build up the messiness, keep the look in place with Ted Gibson's Beautiful Hold Hairspray ($20, at Target.com).

You can also check out Ted Gibson here on YouTube backstage at the Vena Cava Spring 2010 show. He gives a really cool demo.
We're already liking this messy, elegant ponytail!

Alexa Ray Joel To Star In Prell Shampoo Ad Just Like Mom Christie 25 Years Ago

You could say Prell Shampoo is back in a big way. Alexa Ray Joel, the 24-year-old daughter of famous parents Christie Brinkley and Billy Joel, is set to star in TV and print ads for the iconic Proctor&Gamble shampoo.

Alexa Ray told the NY Post that she will also provide the soundtrack to the commercial.
"I am so excited and honored to be named the new face of Prell -- especially following in the footsteps of my mother, who was a Prell girl."
Oh yeah, mom Christie Brinkley starred in ads for Prell shampoo almost 25 years ago, in 1986. Both mom and daughter have healthy, beautiful long hair.

Many women know about Prell shampoo for 'lifting' hair color mistakes. The green, thick formula has been used for years by some hair care professionals and women who color their hair at home, to get rid of too-dark hair dye. The strong ingredients have been successful at toning down or fading the darkness, if you let the Prell sit in your hair for several minutes and use it within 48 hours of a hair color mistake.

Of course, Prell shampoo will be looking to amp up its public relations image with the famous daughter of Christie Brinkley. And we think it's a smart choice. As a spokesperson for Alexa Ray says, "This is Alexa's first ad campaign. It is for print and TV for spring and summer. We will also shoot a fall campaign."

Prell shampoo is available at drugstores and dept. stores like Walmart for $2.99 a bottle. And it's excellent also at getting rid of hair product build-up.

This is how P&G describes the famous shampoo:

Classic Prell Shampoo is an exclusive water-based formula that is designed specifically to leave your hair ultra clean. Prell's thick, rich lather gently lifts away daily build-up like residue, dirt, oil and perspiration and leaves your hair looking healthy and shiny. Classic Prell is alcohol free, so it cleans your hair without causing dryness. Plus, Prell rinses away easily, leaving you with healthy hair that is Prell clean and full of body and shine.

Congratulations, Alexa Ray. We look forward to the new ads this spring.

Oil Of Olay's Regenerist Micro-Purifying Foaming Cleanser Goes Deep

Here at Beauty Tip Today, we are always on the hunt for a cleanser that goes deep, and Oil of Olay's Regenerist line has introduced one that tackles a lot of skin issues.

It's called, Olay Regenerist Micro-Purifying Foaming Cleanser ($9.99, 6.7 oz., drugstores).

When it comes to beautiful skin, it's essential to deep clean your face and neck. What we like about Olay's Regenerist cleanser, is its advanced anti-aging properties included in the formula. It's important to note, that when you have deep-cleaned your face and neck, then the skin is prepared for the next phase of your beauty routine, be that of a moisturizer, a prescription retinoid, a chemical peel, and so on. If the skin is not totally free of grime and left-over makeup, then these other beauty treatments will not be able to penetrate the skin's layers as effectively.

Olay's Regenerist cleanser performs 3 key steps:
Deep cleans to the pore to remove even micro-particles.
Gently refreshes skin for a beautifully regenerated appearance.
Prepares skin for Regenerist Moisturizers and Treatments
.

Although we are not an Olay user, we have plenty of friends and relatives who believe in the Oil of Olay trademark. Many women trust this brand. And the Regenerist line, in particular, has received high marks from those in the beauty business. So we would be interested in trying the new Micro-Purifying Foaming Cleanser. We most definitely want a product that will remove all traces of makeup, grime, and oiliness, without stripping the complexion and leaving it too taut and dry.

Thumbs up to Olay's Regenerist for a cleanser that understands the meaning of deep clean.

Beauty Routine Of Olympic Gold Medal Skier Lindsey Vonn

Golden girl Lindsey Vonn is wearing some major Olympic hardware around her neck these days. Two medals--a gold and a bronze, so far, for the pretty downhill skier!

She's the talk of Vancouver....not only for her athletic prowess, but also for her sizzling Sports Illustrated bikini layout. And now that she's sporting Olympic gold around her neck, the all-American beauty will be seen all over the globe with lots of huge endorsements in the future.

"Lindsey is the total package from a marketability standpoint," Greg Luckman, president of the Manhattan-based Group M Entertainment told the NY Daily News a few days ago. "If at the end of this week she is wearing gold around her neck, she will undeniably propel to another level."

And we believe Mr. Luckman. The folks at Proctor & Gamble's Rouge magazine, have already asked golden girl Lindsey Vonn for some beauty tips:

For anyone active in outdoor sports, the elements can be cruel to the skin all over, as Lindsey admits:
"It's really, really hard; not only on your face, but my legs too, from going in and out of the cold and being in really dry climates. So Olay Body Wash plus Body Butter Ribbons is my go-to cleanser for my body. In the winter you get as much sunburn on your face as you do in the summer, so I'm always putting on a sunscreen. I also use Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream as my facial lotion."

So, what's Lindsey's daily beauty routine like? She's smart enough to know, a naked face is a no-no:
"I wash my face, exfoliate and moisturize. I always put on makeup even when I'm going on the hill. I use a light foundation, like Cover Girl Clean Oil Control Makeup and definitely mascara---I love LashBlast Length----and LineExact Liquid Liner. Just enough so that I don't feel naked."

The wind, cold, and sun, can all do a number on one's hair. Lindsey makes sure she gives her long, blonde locks some extra TLC:
"A lot of conditioner! My hair is like my skin, I have to keep it moisturized because it's constantly dry, so I use Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. It's a constant struggle because I'm in cold, dry temperatures, and then in summer I'm constantly working out."

Congratulations and thanks for some great beauty tips, Lindsey Vonn and Rouge magazine.

Chunky Hair Highlights Emerge At NY Fashion Week And Angelina Already Wearing

Ladies...Angelina Jolie knows this is a hot trend for spring/summer 2010. The beautiful, 34-year-old actress was already wearing some chunky highlights while in Italy a few days ago. Hers were a soft, honey blonde. But not for dark-haired gals. If your base color is a medium or light brown, then you're good to go!

If your hair is very dark, well, it can look 'skunk-y' if you go for too light a highlight.

Of course, blonde wasn't the only highlight shade on the runways for NY Fashion Week. There was a punk vibe being re-visited. Cynthia Rowley's show featured some light turquoise highlights woven throughout the models' hair. These were custom color hair extensions. And there were more bright, bold highlights in jewel colors like amethyst and emerald.

Best to go subtle, when it comes to highlights. And best to leave the job to the pros.

Think stripes this spring. You can get a totally new look with some chunky highlights. We wonder if Brad is loving Angie's new do! How could he not.

P.S. Angelina, Brad, and their adorable six kids are in Venice where mama Jolie is filming her new movie, The Tourist, alongside Johnny Depp. We're not sure if the chunky highlights are part of her movie character's appearance, but Angelina has changed her hair in the past for some juicy movie roles.

How Kelly Osbourne Is Keeping Weight Off In Cha-Cha-Cha Way

Kelly Osbourne has been the little darling of Fashion Week in New York City. And she has good reason. Kelly continues to keep the weight off and is wowing folks with her slender silhouette. She just modeled for super model Naomi Campbell in a Fashion for Relief Haiti show in Bryant Park. Just look at her in a shiny red dress. From Dancing with the Stars to the uber chic runway, Kelly Osbourne has cha-cha-cha-ed her way to a healthy and attractive new body.

So, exactly how has the offspring of famous rocker daddy, Ozzy, been successful at keeping the lbs. off? By moving.....staying active, and picking up better eating habits. Kelly was once a size 14. She's about 5' 3''.

"I’ve tried so many stupid fad diets to try to lose weight, when all I needed to do was start dancing,” Kelly wrote in a column for British magazine 'Closer'.

Kelly continues to cha-cha-cha and has also added Pilates to her work-out routine, according to an interview she gave to Life & Style magazine.

"Pilates is amazing, my posture is so much better and I'm even starting to get muscles on my tummy - it's incredible," Kelly says.

As far as her diet goes, Kelly Osbourne tells the magazine, that she had to create a new one.

"I've completely changed the way I eat since doing Dancing With The Stars," she says.
For instance, a half an apple is the natural sugar Kelly enjoys snacking on before heading to bed at night.

"A trick I've learned is to eat just a little bit of something that has no carbs and no sugar in it before you go to sleep because it keeps your metabolism going.

"They say you should never eat before you go to bed, but I've found just having a tiny little snack - like half an apple or something like that - before you go to sleep really helps," Kelly Osbourne
explains.

And instead of having "10 sodas a day, I'll have one," Kelly has told In Touch magazine.

And she also says it's not about the number of lbs. one loses. Do not compare yourself to others. "All these people worry, 'Oh I have to be under 100 lbs.,' but everyone has a different shape."
Kelly also says to keep a positive frame of mind. "I find that when I get depressed, that's when I gain it all back. But as soon as I start working and I'm productive and I start feeling good about myself, the weight just goes."
