What Bangs....Kim K's Bee-Stung Lips Have Folks Buzzing

The Kardashian sisters.

In a way,  we DO feel for them. Every time these famous siblings go out in public, a long trail of cameras + paps pursue.

And yesterday, the photogs were following pregnant Kim as she showed off a new set of bangs.

Yes! We like fringe on Kim. Plus, she's sporting those signature super-long extensions--this time in a wavy do.

But even more curious are the reality star's new BIGGER lips.

She showed off her pretty pout BEFORE she got the bangs on a recent Twitter page.

But Kim did not mention how her lips had suddenly swelled up.

Can pregnancy cause lips to increase in size?

We can't find that as a fact anywhere in some quick research, but we did read that some pregnant women DID report swelling of the lips into their 29th week + beyond.

Kim K isn't that far along in her term yet.

So....we would assume, and we use the word--assume, that the stunning star is going to the derm for lip-injected filler.

And we also assume that is safe to have done during pregnancy.

When you want full lips like Kim K, soft fillers are chosen for their amazing, smooth volumizing properties. Soft fillers avoid lumps + nodules that do not look pretty on lips.

What's the best filler for fuller, bigger lips?

We went to RealSelf.com for a real doctor's perspective:

Best temporary fillers for lip augmentation

The best fillers for the lips are those that are soft, pliable, and temporary. Those currently available and that work beautfuly for the lips are:
  • Juvederm Ultra Plus
  • Restylane
  • Perlane

These are all different formulations of "hyaluronic acids," which come in a soft gel form. Depending on how much of an enhancement is needed, your Plastic Surgeon will select the appropriate formulation.

It is CRITICAL that your injecting physician understands the proper lip aesthetics and balance between the borders, upper vs. lower lip, and the role that surrounding muscles play in the lip (mouth) aging process.

Sometimes, if my patients are in the operating room for something else, then I offer them the choice of having their own fat cells transferred to different areas of the face (such as the lips and cheeks) to restore the youthful volume of the face.

Brooklyn Decker + Jessica Alba Both Love This Foundation

We all like when beautiful celebrities dish and spill the goods on their favorite beauty products.

We are told that Jessica Alba wears Koh Gen Do Moisture Foundation ($62, at Barneys).

How do we know that?

Well, actress/model Brooklyn Decker read about the foundation in an interview Jessica Alba gave. And Brooklyn now wears Koh Gen Do, too, because Jessia has gorgeous skin and must be doing something right, she hinted.

According to the Koh Gen Do website, the company's high definition mineral makeup cream foundation was first developed for performers.

Maybe that's why Jessica Alba adores the line:

"To prepare for the arrival of HDTV, which reveals the tiniest flaws in the skin, Koh Gen Do used ultrafine particles that could hide pores and fine lines on the face but look and feel weightless. Due to its popularity with actresses and singers, the series began attracting attention from the general public. Today this product is the company's leading line."

We WANT makeup that lets you appear flawless, like you have the tiniest pores, with a smooth textured complexion and so on.

We think Brooklyn Decker is smart to copy-cat Jessica Alba on this one!

Kim Kardashian Has 'Bloody' Time With Vampire Face-Lift

Gotta love Kim Kardashian's desire to stay one step ahead of the competition when it comes to beauty.

Look at the Twitter photo. There's the 31-year-old reality star posing half-way through a vampire facelift or blood facial, as this procedure is called.

She showed the bizarre skin care treatment to the world in last night's episode of  'Kourtney & Kim Take Miami.' You can also hear the mom-to-be wincing in pain during the injections and vowing, "I will never get a facelft!"
We heard about the vampire facelift a couple of years ago.

It's not surgery, but another form of facial filler, similar to the injecting procedures of synthetic Juvederm, Restylane and Perlane.

But a blood facial is real---your own platelets used to put volume + youth back into your face.

Here's the quick procedure:

1. Blood is drawn from your arm.
2. It is spun in a centrifuge to separate out the platelets.
3. Platelets are then injected into your face.

Why blood?

Because it can hopefully stimulate new collagen production, but primarily to add volume to hollow parts of the face, as well as fill in lines, wrinkles + folds.

The vampire facelift is supposed to last 2 years, but there is no real proof of that.

Kim K certainly doesn't need this cosmetic enhancement at age 31. She's young + gorgeous. Why even go there?

Then again, this ain't Kim K's first rodeo as the saying goes. The reality star is very aware of beauty + cosmetic advances out there. "It's all about the pretty," for Kim, and she's aiming to keep her beauty out front and center for as long as she can.

Would you undergo a vampire facial?

Khloe K Loves The Ombre Hair Color Trend: Will You D.I.Y.?

Ombre----Dark hair at the top.....Lighter at the bottom. Forget about roots. They aren't a factor.

Khloe Kardashian has been showing off her ombre hair all over town---at Lamar's basketball games, to red carpet events and to parties.

We like the look on Khloe. She's  got an edgy style and a not timid personality and this ombre looks cool on her. Older sister Kourtney K has also lightened things up with her own hair color makeover(See last pic below).

And now there's D.I.Y. hombre by L'Oreal. The big beauty company says it's super simple to create your own ombre highlights---"As easy as brushing your hair."

L'Oreal Feria Wild Ombre ($12.99 a box, at L'Oreal ParisUSA).

Wild Ombre comes with a special brush. Please note, that instead of applying the color to your entire head, you are strategically brushing it on from mid-shaft to ends in an even circle all the way around your head. So have a trusty friend with you for assistance.

Kourtney K really got the major hair makeover.

She's sporting bangs and a much lighter color.

In our humble opinion, it looks very OMBRE to us.

In her case, we don't care for it. Kourtney's much sexier as a dark-haired mama.

What do you think of the Ombre hair color trend? It's been around for a while. But apparently it's really HOT at the moment.

Are you ready to go there?

One Simple Step For Growing Long, Shiny Hair

WASH LESS, CONDITION MORE

There---that's the beauty advice that most hair stylists are happy to reveal when you're trying to grow long, shiny hair.

We hate hearing that, because our scalp can become a bit oily, but we understand the reasoning behind it.

We've all been told that shampooing daily can dry out your locks. The natural oils that act as your scalp's built-in conditioner and help fight split ends start to strip away. So the experts agree:

Scale back shampooing to just once or twice a week. That way you won't have to constanty bother with too many split ends.

Focus on hair hydration.

"Conditioning treatments are crucial," says Serge Normant, Julia Roberts's longtime stylist, to Harper's Bazaar readers

Serge says its okay to comb through your hair while the conditioner is still in it. This helps to keep knots from forming. The combing also helps avoid the breakage that occurs when you try to brush through tangles after showering.

A cult favorite hair conditioner is Tresemme Moisture-Rich Vitamin E Conditioner for Dry Or Damaged hair ($4.49, big 32 oz. bottle, at Walgreens).
The conditioner has been in the Tresemme line-up for several years now, probably because it really works!

You can pick some up at your local drugstore.

It works beautifully on relaxed hair, color-treated strands, and any hair that takes a beating through chemical processes, constant heat + drying tools, and so forth.

What makes this Tresemme conditioner so worthy?

The ingredients for hair nourishment + silkiness include:
A rich formula containing vitamin E, sunflower, hazelnut+almond extracts.

A number of our African-American girlfriends highly recommend the Tresemme Moisture-Rich Vitamin E Conditioner because it adds such incredible softness, bounce and shine to delicate locks.

Just read the customer reviews. These personal opinions can really shed some important information on a particluar beauty product.

One more thing---this conditioner smells great. Yummy!
