Purely Platinum Parade Of Celebs Just In Time For NY Fashion Week!

When we think platinum, we think of something very expensive, or movie icon Marilyn Monroe and of course, our generation's uber blonde girl--Gwen Stefani.

And now heading into NY Fashion Week, the buzz appears to be on PLATINUM hair, because celebrities are taking the platinum plunge. And it's a sexy, cool, classic look.

Over time, purely platinum does a number of bad things to your locks. Your mane can end up resembling straw, appear extremely frazzled , take on a brassy shine or even worse, fall out.

But when the platinum is done by a professional, well-cared for, it's hard to ignore the rich high-wattage hair color. Platinum gets a lot of attention.

Gwen is the most, well-maintained platinum blonde beauty we have EVER seen, because she will NOT venture out in public if those tell-tale dark roots are showing. So the star is very religious about her strict platinum routine.

This is what Gwen revealed to Harper's Bazaar 2 years ago about maintaining platinum locks:

"Do you think Marilyn Monroe had to talk about this?" she asks smiling. "Well, I heard she did hers with a Q-tip every 10 days, so I try to follow Marilyn's rule." I mention that she's never been photographed with dark roots..... "And you'll never see me with roots either."

About discovering the beauty of bleach, Gwen says it changed her life big time!:

Gwen recalls how she felt when, at the age of 25, she spent 8 hours in a hair salon in Long Beach getting her coveted white-blonde locks. "It was like I'd unlocked the key. I remember feeling like, 'I have arrived. This is me. Finally.'"

We LOVE platinum hair. However, our mane is as dark as a Kardashian, so----we can't go there without some major hair damage.

But for those of you who can and will go PLATINUM, lucky you! But don't forget to CONDITION!

Celeb stylst Mara Roszak suggests this one by L'Oreal ($9.29, at CVS). She even uses it herself:

“For hair there’s nothing like L’OrĂ©al Paris OleoTherapy Sulfate-Free Deep Recovery Mask for a weekly treatment. The number one concern women have with their hair is dryness, which not only doesn’t look great, but makes hair almost impossible to style. This mask will save your hair! I use it at least once a week and apply a shower cap while in the shower, allowing it to penetrate deeper from the steam for at least five minutes.”

"I Will What I Want" Say Gisele + Lindsey In Exciting New Under Armour Campaign

First it was Misty Copeland.

And today it is Gisele Bundchen and Lindsey Vonn.

BRAVO to Under Armour, the popular, American sports clothing + accessories company, which recently launched the message of the moment---"I WILL WHAT I WANT."

Of course, these inspiring TV commercials are designed to get more women to buy Under Armour's line of athletic products, but the ads have also been created to highlight strong women who have broken barriers to climb to the top.

The company began this incredible campaign back in July with ads featuring Misty, the American Ballet Theatre soloist who had been told she didn't have the right body for ballet, and so on. She persevered and made it, and her invincible spirit carried her all the way.

This morning, model Gisele and Olympic skier Lindsey explained their roles in the Under Armour campaign to Lara Spencer on Good Morning America.

We enjoyed seeing both athletic women, except we found Gisele to be a bit attention-hungry. Poor Lindsey Vonn couldn't get a word in edge-wise.

Check out what we mean here.

Then again, Gisele Bundchen is the highest paid model around the world, so there is a reason for that. Plus, she walks the talk, as the saying goes--- a super model + super athlete.

Meantime, we think it's a smart + effective campaign for Under Armour sportwear on all fronts.

Beautiful women's work-out clothing, too. Take a look at UnderArmour's newest arrivals.

Metallic Tattoo Jewelry Trend Makes For Lovely Arm Candy This Fall

Imagine tattoos that SHINE + SHIMMER.....and don't force a commitment that lasts forever.

We are LOVIN' the HOT trend that is heading right into Fall 2014:

Metallic Tattoo Jewelry in gold or silver.

And it makes for lovely arm candy. It's affordable and these intricate designs naturally wash off in about 4-6 days (or you can remove them with rubbing alcohol whenever you want).

Celebrities like model Alessandra Ambrosio showed hers off during the Summer Coachella Festival. Alessandra wore them on her shoulder. So pretty!
So, how do you put metallic tattoo jewelry on?

And where do you buy them?

At Luludk

and FlashTattoo.

All you need is a little water to put them on.

Here's application advice from FlashTattoo:

"Place the tattoo face down on your skin and hold a wet cloth against it for about 30 seconds. Peel the paper aside then pat gently with the wet cloth. Tada! Be sure not to twist or stretch skin until the tattoo has had time to set (at least 10 minutes). Flash Tattoos look best after they have had an hour or two to set into the skin."

By the way, metallic jewelry tattoos are safe + non-toxic.

We think the look is playful, sexy + boho chic.

Will you jump on the metallic tattoo jewelry trend and stick some on this Fall?

We Believe: InfiniteAloe Skin Care DeliversThe Softest + Healthiest Skin

Organic. Pure. Natural.

Those are just 3 words to describe an amazing beauty line called InfiniteAloe Skin Care.

And as we type these sentences, we are staring at our smooth, soft hands after applying this effective aloe vera face + body cream, from just about head-to-toe. This stuff REALLY works well! We can't stop touching our hands.

InfiniteAloe Skin Care was quite gracious to us. We received a nice package in the mail from the California-based company. We were delighted to find what they have branded as:

The World's Most Complete Skin Care Product.

And we believe.

We've all heard about the incredible benefits from the aloe vera plant. When topically used, the gel from this succulent can improve skin conditions like psoriasis + exzema. It's healthy properties also provide perfect hydration to dry complexions and perfect balance to oily skin. Aloe vera also smooths rough patches like elbows, knees and the soles of the feet. And the do-good list goes on and on.

The fascinating thing about InfiniteAloe Skin Care is their one jar for the face, hands + body for ALL skin types.

According to the website, their Aloe Vera Face + Body Cream ($50) is made of a complex formula containing 42 all-natural ingredients that can:

1. Absorb quickly without being greasy or messy to put on.
2. Penetrate up to 7 layers deep. Keep providing protection even after washing hands again and again.
3. The pharmaceutical-grade hyaluronic acid in InfiniteAloe used by dermatologists can battle wrinkles + maintain youthful skin.

You have to try it to believe it. And frankly, we are sold. We have oily skin, and this product did NOT leave a greasy shine. It delivered instead, a soft, smooth complexion, and did it in a natural, healthy way.

The skin care line also offers a unique, advanced anti-aging formula with high-tech, NanoDelivery System.

There is also a special scrub that exfoliates beautifully.

Okay Kale: Leafy Green Blooming In The Skin Care Aisle

Kale has been labeled a superfood. And many of you drink your daily green juice for its nutritional powerhouse.
Celebrities also rave about the leafy green:

Kelly Rowland
"I eat kale like crazy. It's the best!"

Mariska Hargitay
"My son loves kale and we bake it in the oven. That's one of the things I'm proud of as a parent."

Heidi Klum
"I cut up [kale and kohlrabi] instead of an apple. I love it!"

But we've noticed that kale is entering the beauty business. Now this amazing veggie is showing up on the ingredient list of a number of skin care poducts.

Kale is said to be great for the body and the complexion.

One cup of chopped kale = 33 calories
9% of the daily value of calcium
206% of vitamin A
134% of vitamin C
and a mega amount 684% of vitamin K
Also a key source of minerals copper, potassium, iron, manganese, and phosphorus.

Look at this---Alba Botanica Spot Corrector at Vitacost for $7.99.

To Use: Apply over clean face and neck twice a day for spot correction, skin hydration and a double dose of leafy green goodness.

Alexa Chung is the face of Nailkale--- a new line of 12 nail shades from London-based Nails Inc. They just hit U.S. shelves. We found it at Sephora ($115).

Nailkale is an " antioxidant, five-benefit base coat infused with kale extract to strengthen nails."

We are intrigued by kale popping up in skin care + cosmetic items.

Will you search the beauty aisle for products that include kale?

It's Nicely Nude Nails For Fall 2014: Palest Pink Works, Too

If you watched the 2014 Emmy Awards last Monday evening, then you might have noticed understated manicures.

That's right. Celebrities like glamorous model Heidi Klum were showing off pretty dresses (this one by pal Zac Posen), and the hot trend for Fall 2014:

Nude nails or pale pink nails or a combo of both.

To copy Heidi's nude nails try OPI's China Glaze, a creamy, chic nude ($8.11).

If you prefer a bit more color, another runway look for Fall 2104 featured Essie's Mademoiselle, a classic, pale pink ($8.50).

At Alexander Wang's Fall 2014 show, Michelle Saunders for Essie created a chalky, soft beige combo, by painting one coat of Mademoiselle (a natural pink) and one coat of Sand Tropez (a latte color) on top.

Will you try the nude nail or pink nail trend this autumn?

Heidi Klum makes it look tres elegant!
