Anchors aweigh, ladies!
It's time to set sail in style with summer's hot beach nautical trend---STRIPES.....and more STRIPES!
Kim Kardashian and other stars are already riding the nautical wave in chic, horizontal lines. Check out the future bride strolling along in a curvy Need Supply Co. black & white stripe maxi dress. Love it!
We adore the nautical trend, because actually, it's a classic, one that is timeless and appropriate for many summer events. All you need is a a little bit of striping to get into the beach look.
We found a cute, Striped Dropped Waist Tunic Top at Forever21 for $11.80. You can't go wrong with the Henley button placket. Spaghetti straps. Lightweight. Knit.
And if you aren't crazy about stripes on your body, how about a cool, Nautical Stripe Mini Shoulder Bag by Nila Anthony. What a great nautical accessory! The striking envelope-style bag has 2-tone colors on the front flap and sides, while the front and back are mini black and white stripes. And we like the interwoven leatherette and chain shoulder strap.
This summer, you CAN find tons of stripes to ride the nautical trend, without breaking the bank. Even Kim K was wearing a $58 maxi dress. So, being chic, doesn't have to cost a bundle.

Can you get firm, smooth arms without all the hard work-outs?
Without picking up a barbell or jumping rope, or any other kind of exercise?
Well, yes and no. You CAN fake some decent-looking arms with a beauty product like Rodial Arm Sculpt ($79, at shops like Blissworld. Remember: Serums or creams packed with caffeine DO make a difference, because they can smooth and tone. Bye-bye flabby arms!
Celebrities like Sophia Vergara and Victoria Beckham are both big fans of Rodial's Arm Sculpt. It's a bit pricey, but the ingredients do their work to lift and firm a nicer arm silhouette.
Here's what Rodial has to say about their amazing serum:
'Armed’ to the teeth with a powerful combo of skin-smoothing multi-fruit acids (bye-bye, bumpy surface), caffeine and coenzyme A for formidable firming, and Rodial’s signature pomegranate extract, it’s shown to deliver results in a mere month when used twice daily.
Combine the Rodial Arm Sculpt with a tough arm work-out a few times a week, and you'll be in great shape. Just look at Cameron Diaz these days......her arms have great definition. And the way we see it---you need to move your arms to get a good sculpted appearance going. And the Rodial Arm Sculpt can get you started.

Not that denim cut-offs have ever gone out of fashion. But cut-offs are back in a big way this summer.
So, either make your own pair, or simply stock up on a few. And keep the look casual. It's okay to see some fringe or cuffs or patches or studs or rips and tears, and even the pockets showing through.
Celebrities know how to make cut-offs look super chic, and so can you. Check out these stars: Halle Berry, Megan Fox, Nicole Richie, and Kirsten Dunst.

Celebrities always have their pulse on the best in beauty/fashion. So when we hear about what's hot in Hollywood, we take notice.
And when it comes to a gorgeous smile and kissable lips, we want details.
Here at BeautyTipToday, we've put together a Celebrity List:
Favorite Lipstick Shades And Brands.
1. Katy Perry. She told Glamour mag she adores Nouba lipstick."It’s a blue-red lipstick with a little gold shimmer in it. I also blot it with a tissue and then I put powder over it—and then it stays. And stains are perfect too. [Especially] The Benefit stain.". We found some Nouba ($20, at BeautyEncounter).
2. Courteney Cox Arquette. The star opts for paler shades. Her faves include: Laura Mercier Baby Lips (sheer warm pink, $20) and Josie Maran Rumi Joon (sheer pinky beige, $20).
3. Julia Roberts. The sexy mom of three, has been a big fan of Lancome cosmetics for years. And she's currently a Lancome beauty ambassador. Julia always reached for Lancome's L'Absolu Rouge in Rich Cashmere ($29). This is a creamy and moisturizing lipstick in a nude shade, the subtle kind of makeup Julia is often photographed wearing.
4. Kim Kardashian. The dark-haired reality star loves playing with makeup and likes to change things up. But two of her sheer , go-to faves include: Nars lipgloss in Turkish Delight and Nars lipstick in Belle du Jour ($24, at Sephora).
5. Sharon Stone. The blonde-haired beauty loves wearing lip color and is attracted to these---"Dior makes the best lip glosses going. I'm nuts about them." And gloss is a staple in her makeup bag. "I carry gloss — Clinique Superbalm or the DiorKiss tubes — all the time." Try the DiorKiss now in the sleek, new tube ($21, at Saks.com).

Still laughing? Don't......we'll explain in a bit.
Believe it or not---in Manhattan, you can receive The Blackberry Facial for $200. As far as we know, the only place you canfind this unique beauty treatment is at the Paul Labrecque Salon & Spa in midtown Manhattan.
By the way, The Blackberry Facial consists of a 45-minute treatment multi-procedure:
1. A neck cleansing.
2. A peel with sapphire stones.
3. Another peel.
4. A hydrating serum and then lymphatic drainage.
5. Followed by 20 minutes of LED light and microcurrents.
6. And ending with an oxygen mask.
Is this necessary? Can neck wrinkles really occur so quickly, just because you're constantly checking for emails and/or texts, or in the act of sending them?!
Back in 2008, Allure magazine featured in its March issue, an informative article about the neck:
Protect your neck. The neck is actually more prone to aging than the face, which is supported by a cushion of tissue. You can make your neck look much younger with the right creams.
The most crucial treatment is prevention with a broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen. Apply it every day.
You don't need to buy specific creams for the neck: Face creams with the right ingredients work just as well. An antioxidant cream used daily will protect skin from environmental damage that causes wrinkles.
So, what have we learned today?
The neck ages quicker than the face. As far as way too much texting? Well, we cannot prove that causes neck wrinkles, but if it does....then just about everyone in town is going to be walking around with a sagging neck very soon.

We don't want to preach about intimate apparel, BUT----bra experts say that every gal should own at least one strapless bra.
Don't own a strapless bra?! Don't worry, we have a couple of friends who have NEVER even bought a strapless bra. How bizarre is that? Is it even possible?
Summer has just started, and we've been seeing so many strapless and one-shoulder styles. And when you want to wear these fabulous sleek trends, you need some supportive summer shapewear.
Let's look at television's Blake Lively, the hot girl of the moment, and new friend of Leonardo DiCaprio. Lately, Blake's fave kind of style is the strapless or one-shoulder.
And if you want to wear a strapless top or dress, then you NEED a strapless bra, no if ands or buts.....unless you want to go bra-less.
We like Calvin Klein's new Envy Strapless nylon/lycra bra ($46, now on SALE for $34.50 at Macy's. We like it in Bare. It's a seamless, deep-pluge underwire bra with subtle lift.
You don't want seams or padding showing through, and this Calvin Klein bra keeps you looking polished and perfect in all those shoulder-baring styles.

But if anyone can carry off a beautiful garment, it's certainly Kim K., so we will be very interested to see just what kind of wedding gown the sexy celebrity walks down the aislein. Somehow, we envision Kim in a very white, mermaid style gown.
Stay tuned, fans!

But, now there's a new Palmer's in town:
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Facial Care Line. And the great news----everything is $15 or less at drugstores!
Smart folks at Palmer's, and it's about time. Who doesn't love an anti-aging cleanser, night cream, facial scrub, eye cream, and day lotion?! Who knew crushed cocoa beans make for an excellent exfoliating scrub?
The Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Night Renewal Cream ($15), on its own, feels so good. And it's formulated with cocoa and shea butters, retinol peptides, and evening primrose to firm and tighten skin.
If you are a cocoa butter fan, it's time to look beyond your beautiful belly, and to your face and neck. This new Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Facial Care Line is kind to sensitive skin, and won't put a dent in your pocketbook.
We think this a worthy skin care line to try.

Instead, we see the striking Huma Abedin, the wife of fallen Congressman Anthony Weiner in control, doing her job as trusted aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
And she's going about her business with her flair for fashion and polished makeup palette of a defined eye, perfect brow, and bold red lip. That's her signature beauty look.
Of course, the exotic Pakistani/Indian Huma always has a gorgeous big designer handbag with her, too. Plus some very nice accessories---over-sized sunglasses, ornate chandeliers and/or pearls. And her hair is long andglossy, usually worn straight and parted-in-the-middle, or pulled back away from her face in a sleek ponytail or elegant updo.

Just because orange lips are IN for summer, doesn't mean you HAVE to wear the shade. Tangerine isbold and sassy, but not for everyone.
But, there is peach, and that, too, is the other hot 2011, spring/summer trend for kissable lips.
Yes, you CAN wear peach lipstick/gloss and look good, without your lips first entering a room.
Peach is soft and warm, and makes your skin glow. And celebrities like Emma Stone and Leighton Meester have been on the red carpet wearing peach lips.
We've rounded up a few of our fave peach lipsticks and glosses to give you that sexy, summer look:
1. Cover Girl Queen Collection Lip Color in South Beach Sand ($7.49, at drugstores).
2. Burt's Bees Super Glossy Natural Lip Gloss in Juicy Peach ($6.99, at drugstores).
3. Maybelline Shine Sensational Lip Gloss in Peach Sorbet ($5.99, at drugstores).

A lot of women wear mascara, every day. And we are assuming that those who adorn their lashes, also use an eyelash curler, right?
Not so fast.
We were shocked when we saw the results of a recent survey in InStyle magazine that asked this question:
DO YOU USE AN EYELASH CURLER?
27% On special occasions
Doesn't this surprise anyone? Wouldn't you have expected the stats to be, maybe, 80% who always curl?!
Does that also mean, that the 36% who always use an eyelash curler, also always wear mascara? Or do the two beauty items have little to do with each other?
Wouldn't it make sense to you, that if you were going to wear mascara, that you would curl your lashes first?
Ladies, you NEED to curl your lashes. Period.
What does an eyelash curler do? Any professional makeup artist will tell you, that curling your lashes opens up the eyes. Your eyes will look bigger. Stubborn lashes will look more even. And short, wimpy lashes will take on thickness and appear longer.
There are many eyelash curlers out there. Plastic, metal, mini curlers, heated curlers, etc. You might have to buy several before you hit the perfect eyelash curler. Plastic ones break much quicker and easier than the metal pairs, with their scissor-like motion. Heated curlers cost more.
And if you've never used an eyelash curler, don't be afraid. It's not hard. This beauty tool is an odd-looking item, but it does great things for your lashes and really widens your eyes. In fact, if you hate wearing mascara, and absolutely refuse to, at least curl your lashes. You will see the difference. You will even look more awake.
What you want to do, is position the eyelash curler around your eyelashes. The upper lashes must be between the edges of the curler.
Then, carefully squeeze the edges of the eyelash curler together and hold for about 10 seconds.
Now gently release the curler from the lashes. Repeat again if you want extra curly lashes, or if you have stubborn straight lashes. Always make sure that the curler is fully open before removing it.
Then apply a few coats of mascara.
Here's a great eyelash curler to try:
Shu Uemura ($19.00, here). A big favorite among pros and women everywhere. Delivers the perfect curl. Metal curler.

Blueberries and better eyesight.
Do the two go hand-in-hand?
A popular supplement from Sweden called, Blue Berry Eyebright ($29.95, 60 tablets), claims that just 2 tablets a day, "Helps protect and stregthen the vision. Helps increase macular pigmentation in the eyes."
The daily dosage of 2 tablets can be compared to eating a cup of fresh blueberries a day. Also included in the supplements is calendula flower extract, containing lutein and grapeseeds extracts.
Blue Berry Eyebright has been around Scandanavia for almost 10 years, and now it's being introduced to the US, exclusively at CVS drugstores.

The supplements are safe, and according to what we have learned, Blue Berry Eyebright does NOT interfere with medicine and poses no side effects. But please check with your doctor and let him or her know what you are planning to add to your vitamin regimen.

And guess what.....StriVectin S-H Age Protect SPF 30 is also recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation.
So, we would like to assume, that the clever folks at StriVectin have developed an excellent way to "practice safe sun", if you would.
The magic ingredient in this sunscreen is the NIA-114 molecule. And according to what we learned, this form of niacin was actually discovered by skin cancer researchers, Drs. Myron and Elaine Jacobson, The couple found that NIA-114 is able to re-build skin layers and strengthen the skin barrier to further protect against sun damage.
This is a daily sunscreen that you can use all year long, 365 days. And the formula is said to be ultra light and ultra sheer. Nothing heavy or greasy.
How to use: Apply a dime size amount in the morning on cleansed face and neck over StriVectin-SD or a daily moisturizer. Reapply as needed or after towel drying, swimming or perspiring. Instantly absorbs into skin with a soft, matte finish.
StriVectin S-H Age Protect SPF 30 sells for $49 (2 oz.) and can be found at stores like---Bloomingdales, ULTA, Sephora, and at strivectin.com.

Golden girl Jennifer Aniston has always been the cover girl for Best Wavy Beach Hair. Then, a couple of months ago, she went and chopped off her signature look for a sleek, shoulder-length bob.
In our humble opinion....boring, Jennifer. We can see her anxiously trying to grow it out now.
Hair that looks tousled and free, like you've just spent a day at the beach, is a style that everyone seems to like. And with the right hair productsand styling tools, you, too, can create sexy, celebrity beach hair for summer!
Blake Lively, Vanessa Hudgens, Julia Roberts, and Kate Hudson, are just a few of the famous heads who look like they're fans of the sun and surf club.
There are a few ways to achieve this sexy, boho beach hair:
1. Have a professional stylist tend to your locks.
2. Or.......Do it yourself. At bedtime, spritz on a good volumizer and then braid hair into 4 big sections. Remember--the smaller the braid, the tighter the wave, so if you want a ton of wild waves, then make more braids. In the morning, take out the braids for beach hair that has staying power.
3. You can also pick up a bottle of product designed to give you wavy, beach hair. Try new Alterna Summer Hair Ocean Waves Texturizing Spray ($20, at Sephora. "This spray provides weightless volume, moisture lock, and a natural wavy texture to all hair types for that sexy, back-from-the-beach look."
Spray on damp or dry hair from roots to ends and shape with fingers for a loose, tousled look. You can also use a diffuser to create waves or a big-barreled curling iron to lock in that tousled beach hair.
It's a playful, sexy hairstyle even if you're not really running around at the beach all day.

"I live in rompers in the summer!" she says. "They're easy and comfortable. I change up the look with different belts."
2. Big sunglasses.
3. Statement handbag.
4. Sexy sandals.
