Maybelline Does It 24/7 With New Long Lasting Lippie

A 24-hour long lasting lipcolor?!

Okay, maybe the good folks at Maybelline might be stretching the truth here, just a bit, but what woman isn't intrigued by the thought?

So, let's take a closer look at Maybelline's new SuperStay 24 Color ($7.50, at drugstores). The product consists of a 2-step beauty plan. Apply the lip stain first. Let it dry completely (2 minutes, says Maybelline). And then put on the lip balm. There, beautiful, lush lips that last and last.

We love that SuperStay 24 Color comes in 30 shades. Talk about variety. And the pigment is rich, so choose carefully. You might not want something as vivid as Cherry, shown above.

Let's be frank here....If you think you are going to apply the stain, and one swipe of the balm, and reap the 24-hour beauty benefits, well, you might be disappointed. You will have to re-apply the balm throughout the day, afternoon, and evening, to keep lips moist and color fresh.

Still, it's a good beauty buy at just $7.50, because the lip color will hang in there for a long time. And the pretty stain you get, will stay on your lips and not transfer to glasses and utensils, etc.

Just one important tip-----If you have very dry or cracked lips to begin with, then maybe Maybelline's SuperStay 24 Lip Color is not for you. Lip stains, in general, can be quite drying, even with the balm provided.

Maybelline has provided excellent step-by-step SuperStay Color video lessons here.

UK Debuts Its Own Amazing Wrinkle Filler: Nip & Fab

Just yesterday, here at Beauty Tip Today, we were raving about an amazing wrinkle filler called, Double Strength Deep Wrinkle Filler by Kiehl's.

And today----we are raving about what British beauties are raving about----their own incredible wrinkle filler called, Nip+Fab Frown Fix. The anti-aging line filler is already SOLD OUT! Apparently, this Nip+Fab stuff can perform near miracles when it comes to rejuvenating the skin. And once again, no sting of the needle, ladies.

When the the UK wrinkle cream debuted at Boots stores there last week, long lines snaked out the doors, and the Botox-like Frown Fix quickly sold out. And now there is a waiting list of some 8,000, and counting.

We found this interesting article online at the UK's Daily Mail:

"The cream, which the company says is 'clinically proven' to reduce lines and wrinkles by up to 50 per cent, contains Grant X, a natural alternative to Botox.

While the cream was initially designed as a wrinkle filler - to sit in expression lines and minimise their appearance like a posh Pollyfilla - users found the cream had a cumulative line-reducing effect, with fine lines and wrinkles being significantly reduced over time.

The product is said to work thanks to muscle relaxing properties, collagen synthesis stimulation, and a light-diffusing action that hides and softens wrinkles."

By the way, a tube of Nip+Fab Frown Fix costs 10.25 in British Pounds or $16.67 in US Dollars. Not a bad price.

Check out Ebay.....there are some Nip+Fab Frown Fix boxes already for sale. You'll have to pay about double and even more for a tube, but at least you can experience this breakthrough beauty treatment ASAP.

Kiehl's Double Strength Deep Wrinkle Filler: Like Hyaluronic Acid Without The Needle

Hmmm. Hyaluronic Acid in a tube....minus the sting of the needle, over and over again?!

Now we're listening.

The well-respected skin care people at Kiehl's, claim their new Double Strength Deep Wrinkle Filler does just that----plump and smooth away the signs of aging. The small crazy glue-like tube will cost you $39, but hold on. The stuff is pretty remarkable.

You've heard of the very popular dermal fillers, Restylane and Juvederm. Both contain Hyaluronic Acid, which naturally exists in the body. It lubricates your joints and is in your skin and eyes. But as we age, less and less of the acid is produced.

Of course, you need to be stung by a needle to receive Hyaluronic Acid to instantly smooth away wrinkles or add volume to the face. Plus, it isn't free. Here in the U.S., the average cost of Restylane/Juverderm per treatment is between $500-$800; and treatment results typically last 6-12 months.

So, maybe a $39 tube of Kiehl's Double Strength Deep Wrinkle Filler is a good little beauty treatment to try. And it's easy. It's just like a primer, in that it acts like spackle---smoothing over rough edges to create an even, clean surface. And it dries in less than 30 seconds.

And Kiehl's DOES contain the precious Hyaluronic Acid in a fragmented form of sodium hyaluronate "filling spheres". You are getting a better skin texture that improves over time. And your fine lines and wrinkles look softer with each 'dose' of the Kiehl's wrinkle filler.

If anything, this stuff is a super base for makeup. And you don't have to feel the ouch of the needle.

Details at Kiehl's.

Dr. Scholl's Foldable Fast Flats Perfect When 6-Inch Heels Give Out

If you've been to Bergdorf Goodman's heaven-on-earth Shoe Salon lately, then you know that sky-high heels are here to stay.....5-inch and 6-inch heels are hotter than ever. Just ask celebrity cutie Kelly Ripa who teeters on sexy, 6-inch stilettos almost daily on 'Regis and Kelly.'

Sure, the higher the heel, the slimmer and taller you appear. Your legs look dynamite, and even your posture and the way you walk all improve.

But there comes a time when your feet just can't take it anymore, at least for the day. And that's where a pair of comfy flats really soothes your aching feet.

We picked up a pair of Dr. Scholl's 'For Her Fast Flats' at the drugstore last summer, when they first appeared on store shelves. For about $10, you get these cute black ballet, foldable flats that come in a zippered, gold wristlet that you can pop into your purse. And when your toes are screaming for mercy, you just pop them on.

The fast flats are not the most glam thing you'll ever slip into, but they are stretchy and comfortable, and can go the distance when your sky-high stilettos cannot.

Hey, it's always wise to be prepared and these little foldable fast flats travel nicely and can always be used in a flash.

Chin Implants Can Make A Big Difference In Facial Balance: Did She Or Didn't She?

There's been lots of chatter about celebrity chin implants, ever since reality star Bristol Palin showed up at a red carpet event with a new, sleek, sculpted chin. The daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has recently admitted, that she, in fact, had surgery, but not the plastic kind.

Bristol Palin says she had jaw surgeryto repair misalignment with her teeth. Read yesterday's BeautyTipToday article below, for the complete story.

Plastic surgery experts are also putting in their two cents, and claim the pretty, 20-year-old mom of 2-year-old Tripp had cosmetic work done, including a chin implant.

So, let's look at this popular procedure that is actually a simple and safe surgery, and can really make a difference in facial balance. Chelsea Clinton appears to have also had chin implant surgery a few years ago. But we cannot confirm or prove this. But we will say, that both Chelsea and Britsol look great with their 'alleged' chin implants.

We did a little research and found an expert, Dr. David Mabrie in San Francisco. We learned that chin implant surgery takes place in a hospital setting, and takes between 1 hour and 1 1/2 hours to do.

After deciding by computer imaging what size implant to use to bring better harmony to one's facial features, the process is straightforward:

"Dr. Mabrie performs chin augmentation with a small incision under the chin instead of using an incision inside the mouth because it decreases the risk of infection. The implant is placed and secured with a few stitches."

And he outlines the recovery process below:

Chin Augmentation Recovery.
Bandages: 2-4 days
Suture Removal: 5-7 days
Restaurant Ready*: 7-10 days
75%: 3-4 weeks
100%: 2-3 months
(*Restaurant ready means you are ready to debut the new you!)

Keep Your (New)Chin Up, Bristol: You Look Amazing

Okay....if you haven't heard about or seen the new Bristol Palin, watch out! We're not sure you'd even recognize her right away.

Ever since the reality star and daughter to former Gov. Sarah Palin stepped out recently at a red carpet event, tongues began wagging, and haven't stopped since. There was talk about Bristol dropping a significant amount of weight, and getting a darker, new hair color with most likely, hair extensions. But it was much more than that.

It was her sculpted chin. Gone was the pretty, round-faced, full-cheeked gal, and here arrived a more glamorous, well-defined set of features on a mature young woman.

So, come to find out....it WAS more than a makeup, hair color make-over. Bristol Palin admits, it was surgery. And experts are claiming it was plastic surgery:

"I had corrective jaw surgery," Palin told Us Weekly. "Yes, it improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons ... so my jaw and my teeth could properly realign ... I don't obsess over my face."

Bristol is only 20-years-old. Should that make a difference? And exactly what does corrective jaw surgerymean? Did she really have a chin implant, a nose job, brow lift, or mini facelift, too?

Who's to say. Bristol Palin will be starring in her own forthcoming reality show alongside her Dancing with the Stars friend, Kyle Massey on the Bio channel. And 2-year-old son, Tripp will also share the TV spotlight.

The question begs-----Was Bristol Palin advised to drop lbs. and get some plastic surgery BEFORE getting her new reality show? Or did she, herself, feel the pressure that so many young women like Bristol feel, in measuring up to Hollywood standards?

We think Bristol Palin was pretty BEFORE the surgery. But we also think she looks amazing AFTER the surgery. And if her round face and chubby cheeks really bothered her before, then we can understand her desire for a self-esteem boost.
