Dry Skin Complexions Thirst For Exfoliation, Too!

Usually people only think that oily-faced gals need lots of exfoliation to clean up greasy pores + dead skin cells. But ALL complexions NEED exfoliation.

And when your skin is dry, you just need to find an exfoliator that sheds the old skin cell layers and nourishes well in between.

We have a tried + true beauty product that favors dry complexions. It's gentle + yet 'sloughs' where it's needed:
Fresh SUGAR FACE POLISH ($55, at Fresh.com).

And it sounds YUMMY enough to eat! This natural exfoliator combines pure brown sugar + wild strawberry seeds for the knock-out punch!

It's easy to use, too:

"Gently massage on cleansed, moist skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 5-10 minutes and rise with warm water. Can be used 3-4 times a week."

•97% reported improved skin texture and softer, more supple skin
•94% felt it had an exfoliating effect and decreased rough patches

•88% noticed soothed skin that felt silky and velvety
•85% said their skin was radiant.

$55 for a 4.4 oz. tub sounds a bit pricey, but customers swear this little tub lasts a long time.

Giuliana Rancic: Enjoying Life Extensions-Free!

"I was just over long cheesy hair,” she said.

“Looking back at those pictures, the hair is so tragic, I’m so happy I got rid of it. I thought about it off and on for a while, but just one day I looked in the mirror and it didn’t feel right anymore.

He (George Kotsiopoulos) said, ‘You have got to cut your hair, it covers the fashion; it’s not right for your face."

Giuliana's sleek bob.

Do you like this hairstyle better?

It does look so chic + fashion-forward.

And we happen to think that Ms. G. looks better with darker locks.

A very sophisticated do.

To get Giuliana's shiny, sleek hair, you will need to invest in a very effective frizz fighter to repair damaged strands.

Hey, we all hurt our hair in some form or another on a daily basis.

Actress Olivia Palermo likes this brand for her sleek, straight bob:

Rahua Finishing Treatment ($45). She talks about it at her OliviaPalermo.com blog. This amazing formula gives you back shiny + strong locks.

ULTA Cheek Stain: Cheap, Wears Well And Looks Great!

Cheek stain. We happen to adore it.

We like products with staying power. And ULTA beauty stores have their OWN cheek stain.

It's cheap, wears well + looks great! Plus, it's water-based.

It's called, ULTA Extreme Wear Cheek Stain. And for $8, you can't go wrong.

The cheek stain looks very bold here, in the shade of tickled, but it goes on nice, sheer + natural-looking.
It also comes in: Desire. Gleam and Passion.

Lots of customers also dab this cheek stain on their lips for a nice sheer stain.
We think this is a GOOD beauty buy! Blush should be worn daily by EVERY woman around.

Julia Roberts: Lady In Red Lace Dolce & Gabbana At Toronto Premiere

Movie star Julia Roberts usually wears glamorous black on the red carpet.

Well, NOT this time. The ageless beauty chose RED for the Toronto International Film Festival for her new movie--'August: Osage County.'

Now...you're either going to LOVE this red mini or probably HATE it altogether. And the critics have been panning it, saying it looks like a red tablecloth or drapes, etc.

And it's NOT cheap, either.

It's a ravishing Dolce & Gabbana Bell Sleeve Lace Shift ($3,325, at Barneys New York).

We like it. We really love lace, and we think the Academy award-winning actress is working it well, with her sky-high nude platforms. We could see Monica Belluci wearing it in those sexy D & G ads she stars in.
.
Here's the original:

What do you think?

Is this Dolce & Gabbana a runway beauty on Julia Roberts, or simply a dud?

Can Cinnamon Oil Grow Hair Back? Some Experts Say It Can!

Okay, we have no real scientific evidence to prove this, but it surely CAN'T hurt.

While doing beauty research on something else, we stumbled on to this:

Cinnamon oil for hair loss?!

WOW! It sounds simple enough. All you need is one healthy product.

We found this little nugget at Allure.com:

Catherine Devine, Assistant Editor at Allure, asked her stylist about her hair which was starting to look a bit thinner.

The stylist gave her this advice:

"Dab a little cinnamon spirit along your hairline. That will stimulate hair growth.".

Cinnamon oil is really called, Cinnamon Bark Oil. We found a bottle here--LuckyVitamin ($19.99).
And that's not the end of it. Catherine then went to NYC dermatologist, Francesca Fusco, who agreed with the concept:

"It would probably help to stimulate blood flow to hair follicles, and that's always a good thing," she says, since "proper circulation is critical to healthy hair growth," Catherine revealed.

She added, " "It's rich in antioxidants, so it's terrific for scavenging free radicals, reducing inflammation, and reducing UV damage."

Dr. Fusco's only caution: "Even though cinnamon is natural, it's possible you can have an allergy to it, and [a reaction] on the scalp could cause irritation."

So...... Dr.Fusco suggests "applying the aromatic oil to a test area first, rather than massaging it all over your scalp."

We think this is a super beauty tip for women AND men!
