No Celeb Wears Ripped Jeans Quite As Stylishly As Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo.

She is a quiet fashion icon, if you will. The slim, pretty actress NEVER shows off a look; she just kills it.

Today, we are looking at ripped jeans---the hugely popular fashion trend of the moment. And if you think that Miss Olivia is far too classy + snobby to slip into a pair of ripped up, downtown jeans, you would be wrong.

So very wrong.

Olivia wears ripped jeans with elegance + femininity. Check out these photos:

Olivia's jeans are not the cheapest. Some she owns are upwards of $230, like AG jeans.

But hey, as long as the fit is sexy, you CAN copy Olivia's look for a lot LESS.

Check out these from American Eagle.

Just $50!

You Need These: Vitamin C Serum + Sunscreen For 2 Knock-Out Beauty Punch

Vitamin C Serum + sunscreen.

It's a match made in skin care heaven.

Put these on each morning and your beautiful complexion will thank you later!

Let's be honest. As the days become hotter and longer, most of us like to have FUN in the sun. But the UVA + UVB rays are damaging to all, so best to play as safely as we can.

That's why we decided to interview 2 experts in the field of dermatology science---

Dr. Joseph Meli and Dr. Matteo Sorato, researchers in Epigenetics .

Both gentlemen launched Kleem Organics which boasts an excellent Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid.

We have tried this C serum and LOVE it. You can find it here at Amazon ($23.99).

20% Vitamin C in its stabilized PURE form.

1.  How does Vitamin C serum and sunscreen help each other? And when exactly do we
apply each one?

Drs. Meli + Sorato:  The use of a properly-applied sun cream can only stop around 55% of free radicals produced by UV rays. The 45% of free radicals left, responsible for photo-aging can be blocked by the application of the powerful antioxidant vitamin C.

Vitamin C doesn’t create a protective shield against the UV rays, since it doesn’t absorb them, Instead it neutralizes the dangerous free radicals. This highly beneficial and desirable effect cannot be provided by any solar cream. That’s why it’s so important to use both solar cream and vitamin C serum for best protection.

So it’s better to apply vitamin C serum first and then the solar cream.

2.  Is it true NOT to wear retin-A and Vit. C at the same time, but to alternate? Why?

Drs. Meli + Sorato:  It is always important to know what you want to accomplish with any skin care program, but in general, what we suggest, as many dermatologists do is to protect your skin in the morning and repair it, in the evening.

The perfect combination to protect your skin would be to apply vitamin C serum under a sunscreen in the daytime, because the sunscreen blocks UV light and the Vitamin C is a protective antioxidant which eliminates the free radicals which are responsible for 80% of premature aging.

Retin A is the gold standard for PM repair and since it is very unstable to light, it does not work well during the day. Retin A and topical Vitamin C are very important for good skin care. Vitamin C actually helps Retin A work better! Vitamin C fighting the free radicals, helps protect Retin A from oxidization as it penetrates deeper into the skin, thereby increasing its anti-aging benefits!

We will explore Vitamin C serum a bit more in depth this week, and will be offering a few lucky BeautyTipToday readers a FREE bottle of Kleem Organics Vitamin C Serum!!

STAY TUNED!

Pretty Pink Lipstick So Spring 2015: Copy J Law's Met Ball Glam

People keep talking + talking about the recent 2015 Met Ball and the incredible fashion/beauty risks that followed.

We were drawn to the glamour, too, especially the pretty pink lips that appeared on big stars like Jennifer Lawrence (J Law), J Lo, Bey and several other Hollywood hotties.

For J Law in her simple top-knot, it was all about her bronzed beauty + pink pout. Take a look:

Very polished, fresh and NOT overdone.

You can COPY J Law's look:

She had on Rouge Dior Brilliant Lipshine in Hollywood ($35, at Nordstrom's).

That's a powerful pop of PINK, but can be blotted down. And it looks lovely on most skin tones.

Dior beauty ambassador Natalie Portman also appears to wearing Hollywood lipshine in this photo lay-out.

It's pretty in pink for spring.

Why not give it a whirl?

You can't go wrong with a classic, sophisticated palette.

In her vids, Carli appears the to use the 'original' Telescopic mascara with the black wand/brush. We found that one here at L'OrealParis.com.

YouTube Star Carli Bybel
Watch Carli Bybel in her simple, everyday makeup routine.here on YouTube. She uses the L'Oreal Telescopic mascara and it makes a HUGE difference in the length of her lashes. And the formula makes her pretty eyes look even LARGER.

Kylie Jenner Finally Admits That Her Big Lips Are From Dermal Fillers

At  17, we don't believe ANY teen should be getting lip injections unless her own are so incredibly thin.

But we applaud Kylie Jenner for FINALLY stepping forward to admit that her much fuller pout IS the result of dermal fillers. Kylie cops to it on a segment of  E!'s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

"I have had temporary lip fillers," Kylie reveals. "It's just something that I wanted to do."

These fillers Kylie claims are temporary. So that tells us, she does NOT have fat grafting, which would deliver permanent results.

So, what is injected into the youngest J-sister's lips?

Probably a hyaluronic acid like Juvederm, Perlane or Restylane. These HA fillers are great at creating big, full, sensuous lips.

New York City Plastic Surgeon Steven J. Pearlman explains the lip filler process here at RealSelf, com:

"Unfortunately, too many people are walking around with over-filled or improperly filled lips. When I perform lip augmentation, it's like you applying lipstick. First the border of the lips are filled, your "lip liner." Next we fill in the body of the lip or your "lipstick." Each person needs to be treated as an individual and different amounts are used to get a natural result. One hard and fast rule is that the lower lip should always be 1 1/2 to 2 times the size of the upper lip, so rarely do I fill just the upper lip, even though I'm often asked.

"For a young person, usually one cc if filler, either Juvederm or Restylane is used. For mature ladies looking to restore a natural cupid's bow or a beginner who is worried about looking too big we start with 1/2cc. Costs vary by region and city."

Copy VS Model Gigi Hadid's Crop Top Look For Much Less

20-year-old VS model Gigi Hadid cannot miss, even when she's in a casual crop top, distressed jeans + sneakers.

The gorgeous star was in a sexy, scarlet Diane von Furstenburg gown for last night's MET Gala 2015 in New York City.

We like Gigi because she is a healthy, curvy model. She actually looks like she eats.

Here is Gigi the day after the 2015 Met Ball, emerging from her hotel dressed super casual in striped crop top, distressed jeans, white Adidas, black biker jacket, sunglasses + simple bun.

To COPY Gigi's look for less start with this classic basic----the striped crop top.

Oh, Sally Hansen: Why Did You Mess With Spray On Airbrush Legs?!

Perfect, evenly-toned legs.

That's what we all desire, but when spider veins, discoloration or even just plain paleness and other blemishes are noticeable, it's hard to feel super confident.

Sally Hansen knew that and quickly monopolized the spray-on leg makeup market for years.

The company had a kick-butt product that INSTANTLY transformed imperfections into million-dollar gams.

For about $12, you could spray on Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs and get that flawless sheen, which helped make your legs look more slender and about a mile long. Found it here for $9.99 at Walmart.

Yes...You can still spray-on the Sally Hansen, but----the product has been changed, unfortunately, and we do NOT think the alterations have maintained the superiority of original Airbrush Legs.

Nope....we no longer LOVE this spray-on pantyhose as we used to. And we have raved about Airbrush Legs for years now.

Other readers brought it to our attention....and they were right. This Sally Hansen product doesn't quite measure up.

1. The spray does not absorb evenly, leaving patches of unpainted skin.
2. The finish sweats off on to furniture + clothing.
3. The finish leaves almost a sparkly,unnatural-looking sheen.

We still use this product on occasion, but are looking for another spray-on leg makeup alternative.
