Sexy Summer Eye Makeup: Think Ocean And Turquoise

Summer often brings thoughts of the ocean---bright blue....lovely turquoise. So cool and striking

Maybe that is why turquoise eye shadow is HOT at the moment. And it's NOT hard to see why.

Even DIOR struck a BLUE -TURQUOISE makeup theme on the runway for spring/summer 2015.

Turquoise is bold + beautiful, but as long as you keep the rest of your makeup palette simple, this look will work!

We've been highlighting the K and J sisters a lot lately, because they seem to ALWAYS know the newest beauty/fashion trends coming out.

Today we are featuring Khloe Kardashian. She was already riding the turquoise eye shadow trend back in early April when she and sister Kim visited Armenia.

LOVE the turquoise shadow + high pony tail. SEXY!

And so pretty for SUMMER!

To COPY the look, try Diorshow Khol Stick in "Pearly Turquoise." Found it here at Macy's ($32).

Such a gorgeous blue shimmer for the eye lids.

We think a little turquoise eye shadow makes beauty sense this summer.

Are you bold enough to put some on?

Pregnant? Then Do NOT Get Facial Fillers Or Botox Claims Expecting Mom Kim Kardashian

We have been researching this topic for a few days now, and we learned something important from television's most famous reality star Kim Kardashian.

The 34-year-old mom to little North is now pregnant with a baby boy.

Kim recently made some key statements regarding her beauty routine now that she is expecting once again.  She included this photo from her up + coming website KimKardashianWest.com

And according to the dermal experts out there, Kim is telling it like it is, at least for part of the story.

Read this:

"No I don't do fillers or botox when pregnant like some tabloids are reporting," she explained in an Instagram snap she posted on July 3rd..
"You would have to be really sick to endanger your child like that!"

And most doctors would AGREE. We found these opinions from RealSelf.com.

"Injections of cosmetic hyaluronic acid are not recommended during pregnancy.  There are no studies to show that it will affect the pregnancy but there is no reason to take a risk to your baby.  You will be glowing from being pregnant and should wait until after you have the baby. You don't want to run the risk of getting an infection or a bleed or anything else that might impact your pregnancy."
----Michele S. Green, MD
     New York Dermatologist

But here is where Kim Kardashian says something else about the pregnancy facial appearance, that has thrown off a lot of people:

Kim added: "Anyone who has been pregnant or gained weight knows your face totally changes! My nose gets bigger, cheeks fuller and my lips swell up."

There are many pregnant women who do NOT agree with Kim's assessment here.

We are not going to judge. And there are others gossiping that the star isn't even expecting and secretly using a surrogate.

Wow. We don't believe that.

What's interesting in Kim's admission here is her teasing that she DOES get facial fillers + Botox, but only when she is NOT pregnant.

Hmmm.

It is hard, "Keeping up with ALL the Kardashians these days."

What do you think? Can a pregnant woman's face really change like Kim K is telling us?

Suede Remains Trendy For Summer 2015: Kylie Jenner Steps out

Suede is very fashion forward this summer.

No, we're NOT talking about a heavy article of suede. These days, suede can be constructed of lighter material, and most times, the suede you have on is faux suede.

So what. You can't tell. And suede, whether it's real or not, now comes in lots of pretty colors, too.

Reality TV's Kylie Jenner was out and about with model sister Kendall in Beverly Hills doing lunch.

Check out Kylie's blue tresses and cute, cropped suede top:

You can COPY Kylie Jenner's suede crop top in camel. We found several online shopping.

Here's one from MissyEmpire.com ($34.90).

We like this sleek suede look for summer.

Daytime's Kelly Ripa Proves 40-Something Gals Can Play With Candy Colored Hair

Go, Kelly! Go, Kelly!

Let's face it....Women are expected to act and look a certain way, AFTER they turn 40. Sad, but that's how some people view aging.

But times are changing, thankfully, and with modern chicks like Kelly Ripa, it's OKAY. to do your OWN beauty + fashion thing.

Look at Kelly looking GLAM in bright blue hair. LOVE the candy-colored locks.....Especially since Kelly is nearing age 45!

Oh, yeah...The daytime TV host loves changing up her hair in cut and color. Before feeling happily BLUE, blonde Kelly played around with a cotton candy pink shade about a month ago.

We've never seen Kelly look so joyous. It's all about having fun, and although most of us think candy-colored hair is ONLY for the younger set, like Kesha, Julianne Hough, etc., please think again!

If you would like to try a little blue on you, pick up a box of TEMP hair color, like this one:

Garnier Color Styler Intense Wash-Out Haircolor

($6.99, at Target).

Will you try some candy-colored hair this summer?

Need A Brow Pencil? Make Sure It Has A Waxy Base

We wish we had vintage Elizabeth Taylor brows.

Who woudn't?

The late, beautiful Hollywood legend had PERFECT, full, natural brows.

Brows are NOT our best feature.

Although ours are growing in slowly but surely, we've had thyroid issues, plus we used to OVER-pluck back in the day......so......we need a little help in the brow dept..

Yes, There are TONS of brow products out there---powders, gels, tints, waxes, pencils, etc..

And these brow boosters can be quite intimidating to try.

At the moment, we are using a brow pencil. Lots of  hits + misses.

Some mistakes. Others too expensive and so on....

Our advice. If you are going to dress up your brows with PENCIL, use one with a waxy base. That feature helps adhere the pencil to the little brow hairs and helps brows look more natural + real. Plus, the wax lasts until you remove makeup at night.

Here is one brand with a waxy formula:

Prestige Browliner ($6.31 + FREE shipping) at Amazon.

The brow pencil comes in 3 shades---TAUPE, BLONDE, or EARTH BROWN.

This is a good, beauty buy.  The brow pencil isn't perfect, but it works well, even as well as $25 pencils.

If you have the perfect brow solution, please share below in the comments section.

The Natural Way To Lighten Dark Knees + Elbows---Just 3 Ingredients

Dark knees + dark elbows.

It's a frustrating problem for many women around the world. For us, it happens to be dark knees. Maybe our Mediterranean background is to blame. We're not sure, but it looks like our knees were playing in the dirt, ha ha.

We have tried over-the-counter lightening products like Porcelana cream, but you really have to keep up with applications and we saw some progress, but after, not enough. So we gave up.

Today on YouTube, we found a natural way to LIGHTEN up these areas, as well as the neck. And we are going to try this SOON. We have nothing to lose, and neither do you.

Popular beauty guru Farah Dhukai demonstrates the process using these 3 ingredients you probably have in your kitchen at the moment:

1. Juice from a lemon
2. Juice + pulp from a cucumber
3. Turmeric powder

Farah says to mix equal parts of lemon and cucumber and toss in a pinch of turmeric powder

Apply the mixture with a cotton ball to discolored skin areas.

Leave on for about 10 minutes + then shower off.

Do this DAILY.

See Farah's demo here on YouTube.

Experts Suggest Straight Brows Way To Go If Seeking Fountain Of Youth

Okay, if we believe the beauty hype, then that means stars like Jessica Alba,  Jennifer Connolly + Stacey Dash will look youthful forever.

Say what?

Well, LOOK at the brows of all 3 women. Yup.....straight across the face with barely an arch.

So, how do straight, low, 'boy' brows equal the fountain of youth?

Beauty Experts claim that straight brows FRAME the face nicely...And if the brows are full, then that much better.

Even Plastic surgeons note that the high arch, considered for decades  to be the PERFECT brow shape, has been declining in favor.

Who knew?

We found this from the British Independent.co.uk:

A new study by plastic surgeons seeking the perfect female brow found that women's eyebrows are becoming lower, flatter and less arched. Researchers say the ideal eyebrow has moved closer to the eye over the past 60 years. One theory is that women are subconsciously opting for a more masculine-looking brow.

Not sure how REALLY true any of this is, but we don't think you can FORCE eyebrows to sit straight across if your brow bone is high + curved.

We think it is BEST to go with your natural arch. Keep brows as full + natural as you can. And Do not over-pluck or over-arch.

There you have it, ladies.
