Patent Leather And Windex Go Hand In Hand

Here's a great fashion shoe tip, because you know you need one, every now and then.

Okay, what does classic patent leather have in common with Windex Glass Cleaner Spray?

Hmmm. Everyone has a bottle of clear blue Windex at home, even if you hate doing windows.
Windex knows how to deliver a gorgeous shiny reflection, and that's exactly what patent leather shoes and accessories are famous for.

So, when your pretty patents need some tender loving care, reach for the bottle of Windex, spritz some on, and wipe off.

Windex glass cleaner is super safe on patent leather. It won't streak, and WILL bring back that glorious glossy finish!

How's that for a cheap fashion shoe tip!
By the way, these adorable patent pumps come courtesy of Forever 21:

Perforated Floral Patent Pumps ($29.80).

January Jones Admits That Staying Blonde Has Taken Its Beauty Toll

"I have been every color and now my hair is falling out in clumps," actress January Jones told British magazine Grazia Daily.

And that's why you saw a teased and sprayed up pompadour do for the Mad Men star at last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards. Nonetheless, she still looked stunning.

We have to admire the pretty actress for being so open and honest with the public. Most Hollywood celebrities would never share a big beauty problem with the world. That is usually kept hidden.

But January Jones admits it's the dyeing process that has done a number on her locks:

"I have been every color and now my hair is falling out in clumps," she admitted. "I’m going to have to shave it off and wear a wig."

January says she prefers being blonde, because her little son recognizes her as 'Mommy' in that shade of color.

We've all learned how damaging dyeing, highlighting and bleaching are to our hair and its internal or cellular structure. These processes weaken the strands, causing splits, breakage and even fall-out.

The ammonia and peroxide in permanent dyes ruin the hair cuticle.

Take a look at this YouTube vid for coloring basics.

The beauty lesson we can learn from January Jones' bad hair day is this:

Coloring hair does damage.
The lighter you go, the higher the upkeep and deeper the damage.
Conditioner is key, along with frequent hair trims.

Other than that, a lot of women color their hair. Sure, we all run into hair catastrophes, but we survive.  As the L'Oreal slogan sums it up best:

"Because we're worth it."

Pregnant Duchess Goes Gap For Stylish Jeggings--Well, Almost!

The Duchess of Cambridge was out and about the streets of London yesterday, heading into a GAP store for a pair of leggings that look like tight jeans. In other words, pregnant Kate was in the market for some jeggings, so says People magazine:

"She was looking for jeggings, which are jeans that look like leggings, as she said she liked very skinny jeans," a source says. "She didn't buy anything as she couldn't find the right leg length."

The GAP calls their jeggings, legging jeans. It can get a bit confusing. But we have a couple pictured below.

Too bad the most famous pregnant woman around the world didn't check out GAP.com. She could find the TALL girls lengths there. A pair of GAP jeggings will set you back at least $70, as show in the photos here.

Kate is barely showing a baby bump these days. The most recent photo depicts the pregnant duchess at a public event in our top pic. That was snapped less than a month ago, we believe.

Kate is a style icon, and appears determined to keep that title. She's going to keep wowing us all with her fab fashion choices for the full term and beyond!!

Supermodel Rosie Claims Her Beauty Is All In The Green

Most people would argue that the good looks of supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley come mainly from a superb set of genetics.

Well, could there be a little something else that gives this great Victoria's Secret model perfect skin + hair?

Maybe a little blue-green algae, or chlorella, to be exact?!

Look at the recent Twitter photo of Rosie sipping from her cup of green juice.

The 25-year-old beauty sent the photo to fans in high praise of the 'delicious green juice' which she describes as 'a great way to start the day.'

Rosie looks gorgeous from head-to-toe. So, let's take a peek at the health benefits of chlorella:

Chlorella is packed with a powerhouse of important nutrients. It's full of protein + iron. It also lets you sleep better, gives you a boost of energy, and builds strong hair, nails and flawless skin.

Rosie likes mixing the Chlorella powder into her green juice.

We found some Chlorella powder here. We've never tried it, so we are assuming that it is an acquired taste.

Bottoms up!

Wavy Shoulder Length Celebrity Bobs Hot For Winter 2013!!

Glamorous celebrities are bringing their bob game into 2013!

The wavy, shoulder-length bob hairstyle is a HOT trend for winter 2013.

Some ladies are opting to do the fake bob, by pinning their hair under, like reality star Joanna Krupa of the 'Real Housewives of Miami.'

We think Joanna looks gorg with her platinum do. It's a sophisticated look and NEVER goes out of style. Looks very Marilyn Monroe here.
Style Icon Nicole Richie also went in for a sexy new cut and showed it off on her Instagram yesterday.
We're dying to see the final cut. We like the lovely beach-y waves she's got going here!
And then we have actress Nicole Kidman always at the beauty and fashion forefront with her new, wavy shoulder-length bob as seen at the Golden Globes recently

We thought Nicole was faking us out with a rolled and pinned under bob like Joanna's, but she says she had it cut to try something new.
All 3 celebrities look modern and pretty with the wavy bob trend.

We advise buying a good can of styling mouse to get you on your way. And remember---
bobs can be cut + styled a zillion ways. Check out this YouTube vid.

Actress Drew Barrymore is in a really good place these days. She's in married-in-love, a new mom to baby Olive, and thrilled about her very affordable new makeup line.

So, yeah....'Everything's coming up roses,' as the old saying reveals. In this case....it's all about Flower.

Flower is the name of Drew's makeup line. And you can find it stocked exclusively at Walmart. The entire line should be available by the end of the month.

We caught the adorable actress, producer, director, cooking on 'The Chew' this afternoon. Drew was wearing makeup from from her new cosmetics line. Flower offers lips, nails, face and eyes makeup.

In fact, we saw lots of lip colors at the Walmart website. A nice variety. Here's a tube for only $6.98. This one's Rosebud, a gorgeous shade that Drew appears to be wearing a lot, lately:
'I think it could last, and my daughter could work on it someday,' the 37-year-old Barrymore says. 'I think I've earned the right to do it, after so many years working with Cover Girl, and I've been in a makeup chair since I was six.'
