Yes---Duh---You Should Have Some Basic Makeup Brushes

We're not telling you to spend hundreds of dollars on a set of makeup brushes, but we are hoping you consider at least buying a decent set of brushes.

And we have found a quality, inexpensive set by makeup artist Sonia Kashuk.  Her Brush Couture Four-Piece Brush set is $12.99 at Target.

At the moment it's unavailable online but it is in a Target store near you.

Let's face facts, ladies....Those lilliputian-sized makeup applicators we find in a compact blush or eyeshadow kit are sub-par and don't really do the job effectively.

Sonia Kashuk's brush set gives you very usable brushes when applying  your cosmetics:

Duo Fiber Multipurpose Brush
Medium Eye Shadow Brush
Domed Crease Brush
and Angled Liner Brush
.

We certainly needed a good all-over eyeshadow brush. Those dinky, foam applicators are just lousy. A flat brush head like you see in the photo, 2nd from the left, is excellent for sweeping eyeshadow across the lids to the brows. And if you wish to apply a glam lower rim, all you have to do is hold the brush vertically and tap out a little shadow under the eye rim.

This brush set is nice for toting around in your bag or just for those traveling times. And at $12.99, you really can't go wrong.

We think this is a good buy.
